Open editions may be printed in a variety of ways (and these are), and may be reprinted as long as the artist desires to look at the image.  That may mean one printing of 250 images, or 5,000 images, or it may mean several printings of varying numbers....in other words, the printing goes on until the publisher and/or artist says "enough already"!
